Description
The University of Utah is soliciting architectural and engineering design services for the CapEx Premium Projects at Rice-Eccles Stadium. The initial phase includes refreshing suites on Levels 4 and 5, adding six suites and a club on Level 6, and converting an existing northwest storage area into a North Corner Field Club supporting north-end field seats. Work is limited to interior finishes, furniture, fixtures, and equipment within the existing stadium; no exterior modifications or new building square footage are planned. The initial construction budget is $26 million, with additional phases potentially added at the University's discretion. The selected firm will provide professional design services under a three-year agreement with two optional one-year extensions. Construction is expected to be completed in August 2027 before the 2027/2028 football season. Proposals must include a combined Management Plan and Statement of Qualifications Proposal, University Performance References Form, and University Termination/Debarment Certification Form. The combined management and qualifications proposal is limited to ten 11-by-17-inch pages, excluding the cover page and tabs, and must address team qualifications, project management, scope and budget control, risk mitigation, schedule, and value-added approaches.
