Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a firm-fixed-price sole-source contract to Life Technologies Corporation for maintenance and repair of a QuantStudio 12K Flex Real-Time Quantitation System and its associated controller/computer. The work includes corrective repairs, at least one preventive-maintenance inspection per contract period, labor, travel, replacement parts, telephone and email support, remote diagnostics, manufacturer-approved software and firmware updates, and written service reports. Only new original-equipment-manufacturer parts or parts expressly approved for the system may be installed. Onsite response is required within four business hours when an issue cannot be resolved remotely; service coverage is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Central Time, excluding federal holidays. The anticipated contract has a one-year base period and four one-year option periods, with performance scheduled to begin April 18, 2027. This is a notice of intent to award sole source, not a request for competitive quotes. Interested parties may email a capability statement and supporting evidence demonstrating that competition would benefit the Government by the stated response deadline.
