Description
The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services is establishing a pool of qualified law enforcement professionals to conduct administrative studies of law enforcement agencies. Studies may examine calls for service, staffing, scheduling, policies, procedures, operational efficiencies, and related organizational matters. Consultant responsibilities include meeting with agency personnel in person and by telephone conference, analyzing agency-provided data, working with Division staff, and delivering study results as directed. Applicants must document at least 10 years of law enforcement experience, including relevant organizational or operational management, statistical analysis, staffing and resource allocation, strategic planning, program evaluation, personnel management, and knowledge of policing trends. A master's degree in a related field is desirable but not required. Applicants must submit the completed application, a current resume, documentation of administrative-study experience, three references, and Attachment A regarding the use of New York State businesses. Subcontracting is not permitted. The acceptance list remains in effect through June 30, 2027, and applications continue to be accepted during that period; placement on the list does not guarantee an assignment.
