Description
Charlotte County School District is seeking an internet service provider for a minimum 1 Gbps connection, with pricing requested for bandwidth growth up to 2 Gbps, 5 Gbps, and 10 Gbps. The scope includes the physical connection and any required special construction, permits, licensing, provider-supplied premise equipment, single-mode fiber handoff to the MDF, monitoring, maintenance, and optional managed-router pricing. The service must support the district's network traffic, provide 24/7 availability, maintain connections to multiple Tier 1 internet providers, and include five static IP addresses. Service is to be provided to Central Middle School at 250 Statesman Drive, Charlotte Court House, Virginia. Proposals must identify eligible and ineligible costs, including recurring, nonrecurring, installation, taxes, surcharges, equipment, transition, and growth costs. Required response materials include an itemized bid price sheet, signed and dated service agreement, respondent information, executed general acknowledgment, at least three qualifying client references, respondent qualifications, and an implementation plan if applicable. Responses must be submitted through the project website as a PDF no larger than 15 MB. The initial contract term is three years beginning July 1, 2027, with two optional one-year extensions, subject to E-Rate funding and related requirements. The October 13, 2026 Q&A confirms that the contract depends on full E-Rate funding and that an unsigned service agreement will be marked down in the service-level-agreement evaluation.
