Description
The City of Mountain View is soliciting bids for two separately priced roof replacement projects: Site A at Savvy Cellar and Site B at Fire Station No. 1. Bidders may submit pricing for either or both sites. Site A includes removal of the existing wood shake roof and installation of a new cedarwood shake roofing system, underlayment, waterproofing, flashings, and related components, with optional pricing for gutters, gutter screens, and a cedar breather system. Site B includes replacement of existing low-slope and composition-shingle roofing systems, including substrate preparation, cover boards, KEE roofing, asphalt composition shingles, flashings, vents, gutters, downspouts, and associated accessories. The contractor must provide labor, materials, equipment, permits, supervision, protection, cleanup, and closeout documentation. The work is subject to California prevailing-wage and contractor-registration requirements, requires an active Class C-39 Roofing Contractor license, and includes specified insurance and bonding obligations. A minimum of three similar roofing projects completed within the past five years, project references, and project-manager qualifications are required.
