Description
The Defense Logistics Agency is soliciting one newly manufactured matched piston assembly, part number 626960-3, for aircraft landing equipment. Refurbished, remanufactured, and repaired material is not acceptable. The assembly is a flight-critical Critical Safety Item and must be manufactured, tested, inspected, marked, and packaged in accordance with the specified NAWC Lakehurst drawing package and referenced standards. Only government-approved sources are eligible for award. New sources may submit a Source Approval Request by the closing date, including similar-item drawings and test procedures from the previous three years, process and operation sheets, production-delivery records, comparative technical analysis, and inspection-method sheets. The requirement includes first-article testing, government-witnessed inspections, interim and final inspection support, extensive dimensional and nondestructive testing, certification and traceability data, and applicable quality, packaging, and manufacturing documentation. Authorized distributors must provide an authorized distributor letter with their proposal.
