Description
The University of Saskatchewan is soliciting proposals for a progressive design-build team to plan, design, construct, commission, and turn over a new Poultry Research and Teaching Centre. The approximately 2,187-square-metre facility will support poultry research, teaching, industry collaboration, public engagement, animal welfare, biosecurity, and future research programs. The scope includes poultry housing environments, egg collection and handling, research and laboratory areas, feed and equipment support, public viewing and educational areas, mechanical and electrical systems, information technology, environmental monitoring, automation, and data-collection capabilities. The Design-Builder will provide project development and design services, stakeholder coordination, cost estimating, scheduling, project-gate submissions, construction, commissioning, training, and turnover. Associated work includes civil works, underground services, utility tie-ins, electrical distribution, grading, drainage, roads, parking, and other site development. The target construction budget is approximately CAD 10.54 million before taxes. Addendum 4 provides the applicable geotechnical report, and Addendum 3 confirms that the mandatory contractor site meeting was held on September 29, 2026. Proposals must be received by 2:00 p.m. local Saskatchewan time on October 23, 2026.
