This Sources Sought notice requests information from responsible sources capable of providing some or all capabilities supporting U.S. Navy surface-ship Fairbanks Morse Defense diesel engines. The contemplated sustainment scope includes diesel repair parts and overhaul materiel, CONEX-based “Pit Stop” support, rotable inventory and Overhaul Parts Package management, engineering and technical assistance, embedded technical expertise at Navy Shore Intermediate Maintenance Activities, training, logistics, and worldwide emergent field services. The Government is also assessing sources capable of engine overhaul and unit exchange, including troubleshooting, corrective maintenance, component repair or replacement, refurbishment, in-place overhaul, testing, and restoration within U.S. Navy fleet concentration areas. Major engine overhaul and unit exchange must be completed within 45 days or less. Responses may address one or more capability areas and may describe organic capabilities, subcontractors, teaming partners, suppliers, licensors, or other arrangements. Responses are limited to three pages and should include company identification, UEI, CAGE code, business size/status, point-of-contact information, addressed capabilities, supporting experience, and relevant third-party arrangements. This is market research and is not a request for competitive proposals or quotations.
