Description
Barbados Meteorological Services is seeking a qualified electrical contractor to disconnect and remove an existing UPS installation, relocate the UPS tower, battery rack, bypass switch, and transformer to an adjacent shipping container, and complete the electrical reinstallation. The work includes an underground feeder from the main electrical panel, conduit and cable containment, internal cabling, a separate 50 A supply for the container storage section, earthing and bonding, equipment interconnection, testing, and preparation for commissioning. The quotation must be itemized for labor, materials, equipment, transportation, excavation, reinstatement, testing, and commissioning preparation; state VAT separately and provide a VAT-inclusive total; identify cable, conduit, feeder-length, installation, assumptions, exclusions, warranty, schedule, and any deviations. The contractor must provide completion documentation, including installed-material details, electrical and earthing test results, approved deviations, and outstanding items. Bidders are encouraged to conduct a site inspection and must verify existing equipment ratings, cable routes, trenching requirements, and electrical arrangements before pricing.
