The City of Miami Beach is seeking applications from qualified contractors who wish to participate in subsequent spot market purchases as required by the City to provide automotive transmission repair and replacement services, on either an as-needed or on a periodic basis. When such spot market purchases are initiated, the pre-qualified vendors shall be invited to offer a fixed price for a specific individual purchase, or a specific purchasing period. The vendor then offering the lowest fixed price shall be awarded for the specific period or specific purchase. The city requires a turn-key solution that includes removing the existing transmission and installing contractor furnished rebuilt transmissions. When equipped torque converter replacement costs shall be included in all pricing request. The ability to quickly pick up, repair, and return a vehicle is critical to the success of this Contract. Repair services include labor, installation and removal costs, material, supplies (including shop supplies), fluids, filters, road testing, adjustments, diagnostic, inspections, transportation (pick-up and delivery), etc. Prequalified contractors will be required to provide quote responses within 24 hours from date of request. The Successful contractor will be required to pick up the vehicle for repairs within 24 hours from the time of award notice. Other repair services may include but not be limited to diagnostic checks, transmission, and gear repair/replacement and maintenance services, including transfer cases, clutches, driveshaft, differential, and other types of related services. Diagnostic checks to include and not be limited to computer and electronic diagnosis, fluid inspection, lift and pan inspection, road test, and all labor, equipment, and material/parts associated with diagnostic check. All transmission repairs shall be warranted for 36 months or 100,000 miles from the date of receipt of repaired vehicle by the City. Warranty repairs include all labor, installation and removal costs, material, supplies (including shop supplies), fluids, filters, road testing, adjustments, diagnostic, inspections, and transportation (pick-up and delivery). Service shall include pick-up and delivery to and from the Vendor's shop and the City of Miami Beach Fleet Management Shop.
