Description
DeSoto County is soliciting bids for construction of 7.037 miles of roadway overlay on Road A (Holly Springs Road), Road B (Nesbit Road), and Road C (Nail Road) under State Aid Program Project No. SAP-17(18)M. The work includes mobilization, asphalt pavement removal and cold milling, granular material, asphalt placement, maintenance of traffic, temporary and thermoplastic striping, pavement legends, raised pavement markers, and installation of reflectorized warning, regulatory, and object-marker signs. The contract time is 54 working days. Award, if made, will go to the lowest qualified bidder based on published quantities. Bidders must comply with Mississippi licensing requirements, including Certificate of Responsibility requirements where applicable, and must submit a certified check or bid bond equal to 5% of the total bid. Complete bid books and the proposal and contract documents must be submitted either in a sealed package or electronically through the designated bidding portal. Nonresident contractors must include their state's current preference law or a statement that no such law exists.
