Description
The University of Alberta is seeking proposals for comprehensive, integrated waste management services, including collection, removal, processing, and reporting for source-separated organics, mixed paper and cardboard, mixed recyclables, scrap metal, construction and demolition waste, and solid waste. The anticipated service area includes University campuses in the Edmonton area, with potential service at the University of Alberta Botanical Gardens in Parkland County and Augustana Campus in Camrose. The selected contractor must demonstrate relevant experience, technical expertise, creativity, and compliance with applicable municipal, provincial, and federal legislation. The University is seeking a sustainability-focused partner to support waste reduction, reuse, recycling, recovery, collection efficiency, cost savings, and alignment with its Zero Waste Plan and Operational GHG Emissions and Reduction Plan. The agreement is expected to have an initial four-year term, with two optional three-year extensions, for a potential total term of up to 10 years.
