Description
The Defense Logistics Agency is soliciting a flight-critical regulating valve for use in a shipboard aircraft launch and recovery system. The item must be manufactured, tested, inspected, marked, and packaged in accordance with NAWC Lakehurst drawing 19-40763-7, Revision AD, and referenced specifications. The requirement includes casting and cadmium plating, close-tolerance dimensional compliance, hydrostatic functional testing, and MIL-STD-130 marking. The contractor must perform extensive quality assurance, including 100% inspection of critical and major characteristics, magnetic-particle, surface, and radiographic inspections, and first-article testing of one uncoated unit witnessed by government personnel. A first-article test report and supporting inspection, material, testing, dimensional, plating, and radiographic documentation are required. Only sources approved through Naval Air Systems Command engineering source approval are eligible for award; unapproved manufacturers may submit the specified source-approval documentation by the closing date. The solicitation states that quotes or proposals must be emailed to the listed contracting contact.
