Description
The Nunatsiavut Government is seeking a Team Manager/Coach to establish and lead its first Team Nunatsiavut for the Avannaa Arctic Games in Ilulissat, Greenland, planned for the first week of February 2027. Responsibilities include organizing community tryouts, selecting the team, coordinating practices and training, coaching, making the final team selection, maintaining regular communication with the government, and accompanying the delegation to Greenland. The role requires travel to designated Nunatsiavut communities and Greenland. Within two weeks of appointment, the successful applicant must submit an action plan covering the team-selection process, practice and training schedule, equipment and uniform requirements, and strategies for meeting deadlines. The applicant must propose a fixed contract fee; eligible travel expenses and per diems will be paid separately. Applicants must submit the Team Manager/Coach Application, a current résumé, and relevant training certificates. The selected applicant must obtain required coaching certifications and provide satisfactory criminal-record and vulnerable-sector checks before beginning work, and must submit a final report within 14 days of returning from the games.
