Description
Harford County is soliciting bids for renovation of the former M&T Bank building at 12 Office Street for the State's Attorney's Office and construction of two new employee restrooms on the first floor of the Circuit Courthouse at 20 West Courtland Street. The work includes demolition, architectural renovations, structural work, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, communications, security, finishes, hazardous-material abatement, waterproofing, and related site and closeout work. The project requires contractor prequalification in E1—Buildings—Construction or E2—Buildings—Remodeling. A mandatory site visit must be completed before bid submission. Bidders must submit the Bid Affidavit, Bid Bond, and completed online bid table. The project requires a 5 percent bid deposit, 95 percent performance and payment bonds, a 10 percent maintenance bond, and extensive insurance coverage. The solicitation identifies a $100,000 waterproofing allowance and a $50,000 allowance for unforeseen existing-building conditions.
