Description
Pike Road Schools is soliciting bids from prequalified general contractors for Package B, construction of an approximately 60,000-square-foot, two-story classroom addition at Pike Road Historical Intermediate School. Work includes selective demolition of existing buildings and site utilities; new site utilities and road infrastructure; foundations, structural framing, exterior and interior walls, roofing, and complete mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. The addition will provide academic and multi-need classrooms, administrative and counseling offices, and an expanded cafeteria area. Contractors must complete prequalification before requesting bid documents. Qualification criteria include applicable general contractor licensing, bonding capacity of at least $16 million, and recent experience as a general contractor on comparable education projects. Only approved, prequalified contractors on the official bidders list may bid. The bid requires the Architect-furnished proposal form; the general contractor’s license number must appear on the outside of the sealed bid envelope.
