Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a contractor to remove and replace ten inpatient restroom Patient Care Units in an occupied intensive care unit. The work includes demolition of existing units; reuse of existing plumbing connections; wall repair and painting; installation of VA-approved fixed-type toilet, sink, cabinet, and countertop assemblies; and installation of privacy curtain tracks and curtains. The assemblies must meet the solicitation’s specifications and be comparable to or better than the referenced existing units. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision, and perform the work while maintaining access to adjacent spaces and minimizing disruption to hospital operations. The project is a 100% SDVOSB set-aside, and the solicitation requires compliance with limitations on subcontracting. The period of performance is 180 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. The stated construction magnitude is $500,000 to $1,000,000.
