Description
The City seeks quotes to supply and deliver bulk Grade A and Grade B sand for road de-icing. The requested quantities are estimates of 1,000 tons of each grade at each of two delivery points, and the City may purchase only its actual requirements. Delivery is required within 72 hours of an order; bulk transport vehicles must be clean and prevent loss or contamination. Sand must meet the latest Virginia Department of Highways material specifications, Section 202.03, Table 2.1. Substitutions may be considered if effective for de-icing and approved by the City after testing. Award is to the lowest acceptable quote.
