Submission Instructions
e-Bidding or Hard Copy Delivery to Specified Location, or Mail/Courier to Address of Timber Sales Manager, Kamloops Timber Sales Office. Applications will be accepted by the Timber Sales Manager, Kamloops Timber Sales Office, at: 1265 Dalhousie Drive, Kamloops, BC, V2C 5Z5. Applications will also be accepted electronically via BC Bid. The applicant is solely responsible for ensuring receipt before the Closing Date and Time. Full application details must be submitted using the e-Bidding services of BC Bid or by hard copy delivery. If by hard copy, the bonus bid or bonus offer must be submitted by written tender in a sealed container marked "Tender for Timber Sale Licence" followed by the applicable timber sale licence number. A completed "Application and Tender for Timber Sale Licence" form must be included. A deposit may be required in the form of an irrevocable standby letter of credit or cash, money order, bank draft, or certified cheque payable to the Minister of Finance. All tender information provided is subject to change, and any changes will be posted on BC Bid prior to the closing date. Applicants are responsible for checking BC Bid for updates and subscribing to email notifications. Questions deadline: June 12, 2026, 4:00 PM. Q&A document posted by June 16, 2026, 4:00 PM. Closing Date: June 25, 2026, 11:00 AM. The successful applicant must enter into a timber sale licence within 10 business days of being provided notice of the obligation to do so. Successful applicant is responsible for confirming status of BCTS Enterprise registration prior to submitting tender. Contact BC Timber Sales Kamloops Business Area if unsure of eligibility. TSL holders must retain a forest professional to prepare and submit a conformance certificate confirming that completed activities are consistent with the applicable Forest Stewardship Plan (FSP) results and strategies. All individuals, corporations or partnerships who provide direction to workers or contractors who work or operate on TSL area(s) will be required to be certified as SAFE Companies, endorsed by the BC Forest Safety Council as new entrants, or certified under a safety certification scheme recognized by the BC Forest Safety Council or BC Timber Sales, or work for an employer that is so certified or endorsed. Applicants are advised that the Province does not warrant nor has it ever warranted a licensee's right of unfettered access to the cutting authority area including access impeded by the actions of third parties (including through acts of civil disobedience) or natural occurrences. The Province will not be liable to the applicant for any injuries, losses, expenses, or costs incurred or suffered by the applicant as a result, directly or indirectly, of an act or omission of any third party, including but not restricted to an act or omission of a person disrupting, stopping or otherwise interfering with the applicant's operations associated with the licence by road blocks or other means. The timber volume advertised through this Invitation estimated by way of a timber cruise is based on a small sample of the cutting authority area. The cruise sampling error stated in the Appraisal Summary Report applies to the total volume of timber on the cutting authority area and therefore, the variation in timber volume estimates for individual species and grades may be higher or lower than what is indicated by the sampling error. In addition, the estimated timber volumes are based on taper equations and loss factor tables that may not reflect local conditions. Applicants are advised to verify all timber volume estimates in this Invitation before submitting an application. The Province does not guarantee timber volume, species, or grade estimates. Regardless of either the method of estimating timber volumes, or the sampling error of the timber cruise, the Province does not guarantee timber volume, species or grade estimates. Submitting an application indicates acceptance of all the terms and conditions set out in these Process Rules and the Application and Tender for Timber Sale Licence and confirms the applicant's intent to be bound by them. If the applicant is the Successful Applicant and is approved to enter into a timber sale licence, the applicant acknowledges and agrees that it will accept all the terms and conditions set out in the timber sale licence.
Description

This opportunity is for Timber Sale Licence TA1793, offered by the BC Timber Sales Kamloops Business Area. The sale involves an estimated total timber volume of 16,943m3, with an estimated area of 43.9ha. The primary species estimated are Douglas Fir, Western Red Cedar, Whitebark Pine, Hemlock, and Spruce. Applicants must be registered BC Timber Sales enterprises in Category 1 (Market) and Category 4 (Value-added). Tenders must include an offer for stumpage, waste assessments, and a bonus bid. A bid deposit may be required. The licence term is 18 months, with an upset stumpage rate of $46.07/m3.
