Description
BC Timber Sales Prince George Business Area is offering Timber Sale Licence TA1026 for sale. This opportunity involves the harvesting of approximately 26,580 cubic meters of timber, more or less, over an estimated area of 86.6 hectares. The estimated species composition is primarily Balsam (63%), Spruce (36%), and a small amount of Lodgepole Pine (1%). Bidders must be registered BC Timber Sales enterprises in Category 1 (Market) and Category 4 (Value-added). The licence term is 24 months, with an upset stumpage rate of $19.64/m3 for coniferous sawlog grades. Applicants are required to implement the BC Timber Sales Environmental Management System and conform to the Sustainable Forestry Initiative standards. The successful applicant will need to be certified as SAFE Companies or equivalent. Tender submissions can be made electronically via BC Bid or by hard copy, with a closing date of June 30, 2026, at 10:00 am.
