The City of Benicia is inviting all licensed contractors to submit their company for inclusion on the City's Qualified Bidders List for calendar year 2026. This list is established under the California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act (CUPCCAA) and its informal bidding procedures. Contractors registered on this list will be notified of City public projects valued at less than $220,000. Project notifications will include a general project description, information on where to obtain more detailed information, and the time and place of bid submission at least fourteen (14) calendar days in advance of the submission deadline and bid opening. To be included, contractors must possess a current license, be listed with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) in accordance with Senate Bill 854, and be subject to verification through the Contractors State Licensing Board and DIR. Interested contractors are required to complete a Vendor Questionnaire electronically via the OpenGov Procurement website. Accurate contact information and specification of the type of work licensed to perform are crucial for receiving notifications. This is a request to be added to the list for future public projects, not a bid for a specific project.
