Description
The Town of Fairfield is soliciting sealed bids for No. 2 fuel oil for heating purposes, diesel fuel, and propane for the October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2027, period. Bidders may submit firm or fluctuating prices; diesel and propane pricing is to be stated as a per-gallon rate over the Utica rack price on the day of delivery, with proof of the quoted source enclosed. The vendor must provide fuel delivery within two hours of notice, 24-hour service seven days per week on all fuel-oil burners, and at least weekly deliveries during regular business hours from December 1, 2026, through April 1, 2027. Repair service is also required. Delivery tickets must be signed by a town employee for payment. Bids must be sealed and clearly marked “Fuel Oil/Diesel/Propane Bids.”
