Description
The United Nations Development Programme in Djibouti seeks a contractor to conduct water-well drilling at a site in two phases. The required first phase includes reconnaissance drilling to a maximum depth of 220 meters, geological and hydrogeological monitoring, a preliminary productivity test, and a report to inform whether to proceed. The optional second phase, activated only by written instruction, includes enlarging and completing the well, installing PVC casing and screens, developing the well, conducting pumping tests, sampling and laboratory analysis, and protecting the wellhead. The permanent pump and its installation are excluded and will be procured separately; the contractor must provide temporary pumping equipment for testing. Bidders must demonstrate relevant experience and provide qualified key personnel, suitable drilling and testing equipment, a technical approach, and detailed pricing. The submission requires a bid security of 1,062,000 Djiboutian francs. The site inspection is strongly recommended but not mandatory; a pre-bid conference is scheduled after the site visit.
