Description
The U.S. National Science Foundation's Hispanic-Serving Institutions: Enriching Learning, Programs, and Student Experiences solicitation supports accredited Hispanic-Serving Institutions offering undergraduate STEM programs. Projects may implement, test, refine, or study practices that improve STEM courses, curricula, pedagogy, student support structures, degree programs, student pathways, recruitment, retention, graduation, and other undergraduate outcomes. Applicants are expected to use institutional data to identify equity gaps and areas of need. The opportunity includes Implementation and Evaluation Projects and an Educational Instrumentation track. Instrumentation proposals may support access to computing resources and/or laboratory instrumentation for eligible HSIs in EPSCoR jurisdictions or eligible HSI Primarily Undergraduate Institutions. Applicants must provide documentation confirming HSI eligibility and designation by the U.S. Department of Education. The program anticipates 33 awards and provides estimated total funding of $19,000,000, with an award ceiling of $1,000,000 and no cost-sharing requirement.
