Description
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police requires a contractor to supply and fabricate nine specified sample wall assemblies at a testing facility, including wood- and steel-stud walls, recycled-steel liners, cement board, expanded metal mesh, plywood, concrete masonry units, precast concrete, and low-embodied-carbon EcoPact-equivalent concrete. The work includes supplying tools, materials, equipment, personal protective equipment, standard bucking, lifting eyebolts, and lifting loops; coordinating the purchase of specified precast panels; and providing construction photographs in PDF format for technical approval before walls are closed in. After testing, the contractor must dismantle all wall assemblies, clean the work area, and remove or dispose of the resulting materials in accordance with local regulations, recycling or diverting materials from landfills where practical. Mandatory technical criteria include demonstrating fabrication of at least five comparable forced-entry test walls within the previous three years, operating a testing facility within 250 kilometres of RCMP Headquarters in Ottawa, and providing technical documentation for the required low-embodied-carbon reinforced concrete. The contract period runs from award through March 31, 2027, with wall construction and photographs due by January 5, 2027, and dismantling and disposal due by March 16, 2027.
