PUBLIC NOTICE WILCOX COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS WILCOX COUNTY, GA FY 2026 LMIG ROAD RESURFACING IMPROVEMENTS -GORDON ROAD & THOMPSON ROAD ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed Bids for the construction of the FY 2026 LMIG Road Resurfacing Improvements- Gordon Road & Thompson Road will be received, by the Wilcox County Board of Commissioners, at the Wilcox County Board of Commissioners Office - 103 N Broad Street #105 Abbeville, GA 31001, until 10:30 AM local time on November 5, 2026 at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project consists of +/- 2440 Tons of Asphalt Concrete 1 .5” 12.5 mm Superpave, +/- 1090 Tons of Open Graded Interlayer (OGI), +/- 5851 SY of Full Depth Replacement, center line striping, rumble strips, stop bar striping, and traffic control. Description
Wilcox County is soliciting sealed bids from a single prime contractor for FY 2026 LMIG road resurfacing improvements on Gordon Road and Thompson Road. The work includes approximately 2,440 tons of 1.5-inch 12.5 mm Superpave asphalt concrete, 1,090 tons of open-graded interlayer, 5,851 square yards of full-depth replacement, centerline striping, rumble strips, stop-bar striping, and traffic control. Bids will be evaluated on a unit-price basis. The project is expected to be funded in whole or in part by the Georgia Department of Transportation Local Maintenance & Improvement Grant program and Wilcox County funds. Bid security is required in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bidding documents are available electronically for a $300 non-refundable charge or in paper form for an additional $100 charge.
