Description
The U.S. Air Force is conducting market research to identify qualified sources for producing six long and three short bomb bay door trailers. The trailers must be fabricated and delivered fully assembled to controlled technical drawings, including specified materials, components, dimensions, protective cradles and guards, casters, tow-bar assemblies, hardware, finishes, identification markings, and safety stenciling. Welding must comply with AWS D1.1/D1.2 standards, and each trailer must be inspected for completeness and drawing compliance before delivery. Interested companies are asked to submit a capability survey describing their business, relevant experience, quality processes, engineering and technical-data capabilities, tooling, facilities, equipment, and proposed production and inspection processes. Access to the controlled drawings requires an active DD Form 2345 certificate and CAGE Code; the drawings are limited to U.S. and Canadian contractors certified under the Joint Certification Program. This is market research, not a solicitation for contract proposals.
