Description
The Town of Sunset Beach is seeking a contractor for its 2026/2027 Street Resurfacing Project. Work includes furnishing and installing work-zone traffic control; adjusting, raising, or repairing water, sewer, and storm-drain structures; asphalt milling and disposal; asphalt surface-course paving; roadway-edge repair and patching; asphalt leveling; shoulder backup with seeding; paving fabric; and thermoplastic pavement markings and stop bars. Work must comply with the latest North Carolina Department of Transportation Standard Specifications and applicable Town standards. The bid requires unit pricing for mobilization, traffic control, milling, paving, patching, leveling, shoulder work, utility valves, storm drains, and pavement markings. The contractor must provide material weight tickets, coordinate public notice to affected residents, and complete the work within the stated project schedule. A five-percent proposal bond or certified check is required with the bid; the successful bidder must provide 100-percent payment and performance bonds and insurance documentation before contract execution.
