Description
BC Timber Sales is offering Timber Sale Licence TA2494 for the McLeod Lake area under Section 20 of the Forest Act. The licence covers an estimated 69.2 hectares and approximately 23,191 cubic metres of timber, primarily balsam, spruce, and lodgepole pine, with an estimated 48-month term. Applicants must submit a bonus bid in addition to applicable stumpage and waste assessments; the highest eligible bonus bid is generally selected. The upset stumpage rate is $47.17 per cubic metre for applicable coniferous sawlog grades. Eligibility is limited to registered BC Timber Sales enterprises in Categories 1, 4, and 5. The successful applicant must comply with BC Timber Sales environmental and sustainable forest-management requirements, including applicable Sustainable Forestry Initiative requirements and safety-certification requirements. The application must include the completed Application and Tender for Timber Sale Licence form and may require a bid deposit in an approved form. Electronic submission through BC Bid or hard-copy submission is permitted.
