BC Timber Sales is offering Timber Sale Licence TA2872 for the harvesting of approximately 44,556 cubic metres of timber across an estimated 142.6 hectares at Walker Creek. The estimated timber includes spruce, balsam, western red cedar, hemlock, Douglas fir, birch, and aspen. The licence term is 24 months, with an upset stumpage rate of $46.85 per cubic metre for applicable coniferous sawlog grades and a bonus bid required for the competitive portion. Only individuals or corporations registered as BC Timber Sales enterprises in Categories 1, 4, or 5 may apply. The successful applicant must comply with BC Timber Sales environmental-management and Sustainable Forestry Initiative requirements, applicable safety-certification requirements, and any road-permit or road-use requirements. Applications must include the completed Application and Tender for Timber Sale Licence form and the required bonus bid or offer.
