Description
The Department of National Defence is seeking 40 pairs of black, 9-inch safety boots designed for wildland and forest firefighting, emergency medical services, and hazardous-materials response. Required features include puncture- and heat-resistant outsoles; composite toe protection; waterproof, flame-resistant, tear-resistant, and chemical-resistant construction; protection against bloodborne pathogens and electrical hazards; a zipper-and-lace closure system; Crosstech lining; washable and replaceable insoles; steel shank reinforcement; and ankle protection. A size 9 boot may not exceed 1,270 grams, and the boots must comply with the specified CAN/CSA, NFPA, ASTM, and CAN/CGSB standards. The procurement is for 40 pairs in specified men's and wide sizes, with delivery required within 60 days after contract signature to the designated Valcartier fire-station location. Offers must include a technical offer, financial offer, Offer Submission Form, and Offeror Declaration Form; award will be based on the lowest-priced offer meeting all mandatory technical criteria. The stated total contract liability is capped at CAD 30,000, excluding applicable taxes.
