Description
Ontario County, in partnership with the Seneca Watershed Intermunicipal Organization, seeks professional engineering services to assess and develop a conceptual floodplain restoration approach for an unnamed tributary affecting the City of Geneva drinking water plant, Geneva Country Club, and Seneca Lake. The work includes field-supported hydrologic and hydraulic modeling; conceptual assessment of stream stabilization, channel reshaping, culvert resizing, channel relocation, or floodplain reconnection; stakeholder coordination as applicable; and preparation of draft and final Engineering Design Outline reports consistent with New York State Department of Environmental Conservation requirements. The engineering feasibility study or design report must be prepared by a New York State-licensed professional engineer. The selected consultant must submit separate technical and price proposals addressing qualifications, similar experience, project approach, schedule, deliverables, modeling methodology, and cost allocations. The project budget is $45,000, with participation goals of $7,500 each for Minority-Owned Business Enterprises and Women-Owned Business Enterprises and $3,000 for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses. The expected contract term is 15 months, with a final Engineering Design Outline due no later than April 30, 2028.
