Description
The City of Union, South Carolina is soliciting bids for the West Main Street Sewer Upgrade Project. The project involves installing approximately 3,721 linear feet of 8-inch vitrified pipe, rehabilitating 614 linear feet of 8-inch sewer pipe and approximately 19 manholes using cured-in-place pipe technology, and installing two new manholes and approximately 310 linear feet of new 8-inch sewer line. The work will take place in existing rights-of-way and easements within the municipal limits of the City of Union, specifically in Census Tract 302, Block Groups 1 and 2, including properties on West Main Street, N. Evans Street, S. Evans Street, Buffalo Street, Ravenscroft Street, E. Hillcrest Avenue, Malone Avenue, and a section of Westview Drive. The project is funded by $600,000 in HUD/CDBG funds and $292,134 in local funds from the City of Union.
