Description
The City of Plantation is soliciting bids for an as-needed term contract to supply and deliver specified brands of public safety uniforms, apparel, footwear, accessories, and Honor Guard uniforms for its Police and Fire Departments. Required brands include Horace Small, Flying Cross, Cornerstone, RedKap, Vertx, 5.11 Tactical, and First Tactical. Products must be new, current-production, first-quality merchandise, with no substitutions unless authorized in writing. The scope also includes individual measuring and fitting, alterations and tailoring, trouser hemming, embroidery, screen printing, patches, insignia and name-tape application, kitting and individual packaging, pickup, delivery, exchanges, returns, and related customization services. Standard orders are generally due within 14 calendar days, nonstandard orders within 30 calendar days, and specially manufactured or custom orders within 60 calendar days after an authorized purchase order. Bidders must demonstrate at least five years of relevant experience, provide three comparable client references, maintain a permanent fitting or service facility within 15 miles of City Hall, and provide a web-accessible ordering system.
