Description
The Grand River Dam Authority is soliciting sealed bids for replacement of two Unit 3 balance-of-plant stationary lead-acid battery banks. The contractor must furnish 120 new industrial battery cells in total, remove and properly dispose of the existing cells and associated materials, install the replacements using the existing rack arrangement where applicable, provide intercell connectors and hardware, and perform charging, load-bank testing, commissioning, and written test reporting. Replacement batteries must be new, currently manufactured, equal to or better than the existing Exide Technologies/GNB Industrial Power HIT-33S and HIT-29S batteries, and fit the existing racks, seismic restraints, and containment systems without modification. Bidders must submit manufacturer data sheets and dimensional drawings, use the provided Excel cost sheet, include required safety records and insurance documentation, complete the non-collusion certificate and bidder exception statement, and provide a minimum warranty of 12 months from installation or 18 months from shipment, whichever is greater.
