The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) is offering the Small Research Grant Program to support small research projects that can be completed within a short timeframe and with limited resources. This program is designed to fund various types of research, including pilot and feasibility studies, secondary analysis of existing data, small self-contained research projects, the development of research methodology, and the creation of new research technology. Eligibility for this grant extends to a wide range of institutions and organizations, including Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian Serving Institutions, Asian American Native American Pacific Islander Serving Institutions (AANAPISIs), eligible agencies of the Federal Government, faith-based or community-based organizations, Hispanic-serving Institutions, Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), federally recognized and other Native American Tribal governments, U.S. territories and possessions, and regional organizations. However, non-domestic (non-U.S.) entities and non-domestic components of U.S. organizations are not eligible to apply. The funding category for these grants is health, specifically under Assistance Listing 93.226, which covers Research on Healthcare Costs, Quality, and Outcomes. The program accepts applications from various applicant types, including public and state institutions of higher education, special district governments, federally recognized Native American tribal governments, other Native American tribal organizations, county governments, private institutions of higher education, independent school districts, public and Indian housing authorities, city or township governments, and non-profit organizations.
