Description
The Town of Mount Pleasant is seeking one or more contractors to furnish fire department uniforms, footwear, protective accessories, badges, insignia, helmets, bags, and related items on an as-needed basis. The scope includes specified and comparable branded products, custom embroidery, patches, logos, graphics, samples for non-brand-name items when requested, product literature, delivery, packaging by individual firefighter, and replacement of unacceptable or defective goods. Pricing must include ordering, shipping, labor, taxes, insurance, hardware, fitting, alterations, and all incidental costs. The contractor must maintain adequate stock of standard sizes, deliver standard sizes within 30 days and special sizing within 45 days, and perform requested site fitting within two business days. Alterations must be completed and delivered within 10 days of ordering at no additional cost. The resulting contract will support annual, as-needed purchases with no guaranteed minimum quantities. Bidders must have at least three years of relevant experience within the last five years, provide a web-based ordering and tracking system, and submit information on capabilities, experience, at least three references, a management plan, pricing, and product specifications or catalogs. The Town may make a single or multiple awards. The initial term is one year, with annual one-year renewals for a total period not exceeding five years.
