Description
Washingtonville Municipal Authority is soliciting a contractor to demolish and remove the existing two-story, single-family residential structure at 1333 Water Street, including foundation and basement removal, utility abandonment, debris loading, hauling, recycling or lawful disposal, and related permitting and environmental compliance. The work is structured as four lump-sum bid items: demolition and removal of the residential structure; selective demolition and removal of the foundation and basement; site restoration, grading, topsoil, seeding, and mulching; and utility abandonment and coordination. The contractor must provide erosion and sediment controls, protect adjacent facilities, handle asbestos-containing materials and hazardous materials in accordance with applicable requirements, obtain required permits, comply with Pennsylvania prevailing-wage and grant requirements, and restore disturbed areas. A 10 percent bid bond is required with the bid; performance and payment bonds, each at least equal to the contract price, and insurance documentation are required from the successful bidder. The work is to reach substantial completion within 90 days and final completion within 120 days after the contract times commence.
