Description
The U.S. Department of State, Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL), is seeking a qualified U.S. citizen to serve as a Senior Police Advisor in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. This Personal Services Contractor (PSC) role involves providing senior-level advice and guidance to the INL Section at the U.S. Embassy regarding U.S. Government support for the Haitian National Police (HNP). The advisor will coordinate and oversee INL assistance portfolios, which may include counternarcotics, illegal firearms trafficking, border security, and anti-gang initiatives. Key duties include advising on strategic planning, program development and administration, representing INL in meetings, and ensuring compliance with U.S. laws and regulations. The position requires extensive law enforcement and supervisory experience, with a minimum of fifteen years as a sworn law enforcement officer or in related fields, including at least five years of progressive supervisory responsibility. A Bachelor's degree is required, and candidates must be able to obtain a Department of State Secret level security clearance. The contract period is twelve months with four optional one-year extensions.
