Description
This Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) from the Department of the Air Force solicits research proposals for the adoption of state-of-the-art (SOTA) microelectronics. The BAA aims to foster a domestic ecosystem for trusted and assured microelectronics, including advanced packaging and manufacturing processes, to accelerate their adoption and ensure technological leadership for the United States. The program covers several mission areas, including advanced and secure microelectronics design and production, next-generation assembly, packaging, and test, novel microelectronics for disruptive capabilities, advanced test and validation, and accessible/affordable microelectronics ecosystems. Topic Calls will be issued periodically under this BAA, defining specific U.S. Government needs and requesting white papers or full proposals. Awards may take the form of procurement contracts or Other Transaction Agreements (OTAs).
