This Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) from the Department of Health and Human Services invites applications for cooperative agreements to support the planning and implementation of behavioral and social intervention clinical trials. The research should focus on interventions related to dental, oral, or craniofacial conditions. The award will initially support a milestone-driven planning phase (UG3) for up to two years, with the possibility of transitioning to a clinical trial implementation phase (UH3) of up to five years for projects that meet defined scientific milestones and feasibility requirements. The UG3 phase will encompass scientific planning, including small-scale data collection to assess intervention feasibility and acceptability, as well as operational planning, such as developing clinical protocols, intervention manuals, data management systems, and recruitment strategies. The UH3 phase will support investigator-initiated intervention research across various stages, from early development to implementation and cost-effectiveness research. Eligible applicants include a wide range of institutions and organizations such as Native Hawaiian Serving Institutions, Asian American Native American Pacific Islander Serving Institutions, eligible agencies of the Federal Government, faith-based or community-based organizations, Hispanic-serving Institutions, Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Indian/Native American Tribal Governments, and public and private institutions of higher education. Non-domestic (non-U.S.) entities and non-domestic components of U.S. organizations are not eligible to apply.
