Description
Bloomfield Public Schools (BPS) is requesting proposals for lit and dark fiber 10 Gbps WAN connections between the Board of Ed building (BOE), located at 1133 Blue Hills Ave, Bloomfield, CT, and the Global Experience Magnet School (GEMS), located at 44 Griffin Road South, Bloomfield, CT. The district currently has a single pair of fiber running at 10Gbps. Proposals should include installation and initial configuration, a method to report service outages and receive basic technical support without additional fees, a single billing statement, and a service level agreement with 99.9% uptime. For dark fiber solutions, bids for equipment to light the fiber are also requested, with recommendations for modern Cisco switches or equivalent capable of 10Gbps or higher. The district is seeking 3 and 5 year contract options. Pricing should be all-inclusive, including non-recurring and monthly recurring costs, and may include E-rate eligible costs. Selection will be based on price (50%), quality of proposed solution (25%), and quality of references (25%).
