Description
The Department of the Army Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP) is seeking eligible Mentor Firms to participate in the Department of Defense (DoD) Mentor-Protege Program (MPP) via a Broad Agency Announcement (BAA). This BAA outlines a two-step process where Mentor Firms first submit white papers, and upon determination of consistency with the BAA's intent, may be invited to submit technical and cost proposals, subject to funding availability. The DoD MPP aims to incentivize major DoD contractors (Mentor Firms) to assist small businesses (Protege Firms) in enhancing their capabilities to perform as subcontractors, increasing their participation in government and commercial contracts, and fostering long-term business relationships. The Army specifically seeks agreements that will assist proteges in supporting the Army's transformation and operational capabilities.
