Description
The New York State Department of Motor Vehicles is seeking a provider for a statewide impaired-driver education and prevention program. The selected contractor must provide an evidence-based curriculum, participant workbooks and related instructional materials, instructor training and continuing education, technical support, periodic monitoring and reporting, and a comprehensive program-effectiveness study and report. Materials must be available in English and Spanish, support classroom and virtual delivery, and be capable of serving approximately 20,000 participants annually through about 58 course providers and 300 instructors. Bidders must demonstrate qualifying experience with impaired-driving education programs, evidence-based research and independent validation, curriculum ownership or licensing rights, and at least three similar customer references. The contract is funded through the sale of participant workbooks, with a maximum price of $20 per workbook; the award will be made to the lowest-priced qualified bidder. The initial term is two years, with up to three additional one-year extensions.
