This Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) from the Department of Health and Human Services aims to support feasibility clinical trials of complementary and integrative health approaches. These interventions, often referred to as mind and body interventions, will focus on conditions identified by the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH) as high-priority research topics. The trials are intended to provide scientifically necessary information for planning subsequent clinical efficacy, effectiveness, pragmatic, or dissemination and implementation trials. The scope of this R34 funding includes examining the feasibility and acceptability of interventions, tailoring interventions to specific populations or settings, refining intervention content, determining recruitment and retention feasibility, assessing multi-component interventions, and examining the acceptability of control conditions. The ultimate goal is to support research that has the potential to significantly impact public health. Applicants are encouraged to contact NCCIH Scientific/Research contacts prior to submission. Various organizations are eligible to apply, including city/township governments, small businesses, special district governments, private and public higher education institutions, Native American tribal organizations, non-profits, county governments, for-profit organizations, and state governments.
