LEGAL #95689 -NOTICE- Request for Proposal Number: 27-667-5189-00024 TITLE: New Mexico Circular Economy PURPOSE: The New Mexico Environment Department (“NMED” or “the Agency”) is soliciting sealed proposals to establish contracts through competitive negotiations for circular economy projects. The term circular economy means an economy that uses a systems-focused approach and involves industrial processes and economic activities that: (1) are restorative or regenerative by design; (2) enable resources used in such processes and activities to maintain their highest values for as long as possible; and (3) aim for the elimination of waste through the superior design of materials, products and systems, including business models. In a circular economy, products and materials are kept in circulation through processes like maintenance, reuse, refurbishment, remanufacture, recycling, and composting.
