Submission Instructions
Description
The United Nations Development Programme is inviting eligible community-based, civil society, and other nonprofit organizations to propose community-based projects addressing environmental challenges under the Global Environment Facility Small Grants Programme. Proposals must align with one of the specified strategic or crosscutting initiatives: community-led biodiversity conservation; sustainable agriculture, fisheries, and food security; low-carbon technologies and renewable energy; or capacity building and communications for environmental grant recipients. Applicants must submit a technical and financial proposal, including a methodology and implementation plan, key personnel, and a detailed budget. The requested UNDP funding may not exceed $50,000, and applicants must identify cash or in-kind co-financing. The solicitation also calls for audited financial statements for 2024 and 2025, information and supporting documentation requested in the RFI template, and the completed proposal submission form. The Terms of Reference describes a 12-month project period beginning upon agreement signing, while the posting and tender documents state a nine-month period; the solicitation therefore contains conflicting duration information.
