Description
This funding opportunity invites applications for the innovative analysis of existing social science, behavioral, administrative, and neuroimaging data. The research should focus on understanding the etiology and epidemiology of drug use behaviors (including alcohol, tobacco, prescription, and other drugs), prevention of drug use and HIV, and health service utilization. The goal is to maximize the potential of public use and other extant datasets to advance knowledge on drug use trajectories, consequences, risk and resilience factors, and strategies for effective prevention and treatment services. Eligibility is broad, including private institutions of higher education, federal government agencies, faith-based or community-based organizations, various minority-serving institutions, tribal governments, non-U.S. entities, U.S. territories, and for-profit organizations. This grant supports research programs related to drug use and addiction (Assistance Listing 93.279) and alcohol research (Assistance Listing 93.273).
