Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to make a sole-source award to Surgical Science North America Corporation for maintenance, repair, upgrades, and support of Simbionix ultrasound simulation equipment. The requirement supports a VA medical center and covers proprietary Simbionix hardware and software. The notice states that Surgical Science North America Corporation is the original equipment manufacturer and exclusive provider of the products and related services, and that servicing must be performed by its trained technicians. This is a Notice of Intent rather than a request for competitive offers; responses are requested only to help the Government determine whether a competitive procurement should be conducted.
