Description
NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support Mechanicsburg intends to solicit repair of three VALVE, VENT units, part number V1E10502-01, for submarine atmosphere-control applications. Repair must follow the contractor’s approved repair and overhaul practices and applicable technical documentation, with inspection and testing to the original manufacturer’s specifications. The repaired items must meet marking and packaging requirements and be free of metallic mercury and mercury contamination. The notice identifies VACCO Industries as the intended sole source and states that only authorized distributors of the original manufacturer’s item will be considered for award. Interested sources may submit capability information, proposals, or quotations for consideration; firms not already approved to manufacture the item must submit a Source Approval Request, but the procurement will not be delayed pending approval. The anticipated contract duration is one year, with an option for increased quantity.
